For one Saturday a month, come gather to share the joy of herbs using local and wild crafted plants. Find out what medicine lies beneath your feet, how to use it, what parts to use, what time to harvest, and how to harvest ethically for the most potent medicine. Each class will a month by month exploration of what herbs are available to us as the year progresses. We'll learn to make herbal tinctures or extracts, oils, salves, balms, flower essences,tea blends and other just for fun activities, such as violet syrup, rose petal elixir, cough syrup and cosmetics, to name a few.
Classes will include:
- Wild plant walks: identification, medicinal and culinary usage, doctrine of signatures, plant lore and ecological concerns.
- Hands on herb gardening, planting, cultivating and planning
-Kitchen herbalism: herbs from the cupboard for use as first aid, food as medicine and homemade cosmetics
- Body systems and what herbs work in synergy to create health for preventative and acute care
- The synergistic magic between bees and herbs
Students will take home any products made in class that day!
A vegetarian soup and herb tea will be provided, but potluck additions are welcome too!

Costs: $ 75 per class or $400 prepaid for the series
